Living and buying in Ricklingen

The Ricklingen core and Oberricklingen consist of established residential streets with flats and terraced houses. The Ricklingen gravel lakes lie right next to the neighbourhood and are among the most popular places in the city in summer. The light rail reaches the centre in around ten minutes.

Wettbergen on the southern edge is the district’s location for detached houses. Older estate areas meet newer development areas such as In der Rehre. Families find a house and garden with a light rail connection here.

The Mühlenberg was built as a large housing estate in the 1970s. Flat prices are far below the city level, and the calculated rental yield is correspondingly high. For owner-occupiers with a small budget, the neighbourhood is often the only way into home ownership within Hannover.

What matters for financing in the district

For very affordable flats, some banks demand higher equity ratios or reject certain complexes altogether. Other institutions finance the same properties without a premium. We know these differences and direct your enquiry straight to the suitable banks.

In Wettbergen many families buy their first house. Subsidies and a repayment that fits the family phase keep the instalment within limits. We also budget for buffers for the typical running costs of an older house.
