Lehrte grew up as a railway junction and remains excellently connected by rail to this day: regional trains reach Hannover main station in around 15 minutes. The town centre offers detached houses and flats from several decades at moderate prices.
Neighbourhoods such as Ahlten and Arpke have kept their village cores. Ahlten lies directly on the border with Hannover-Anderten and is correspondingly popular with commuters. The A2 and A7 are quickly reachable from almost all neighbourhoods.
The supply consists mainly of existing houses from the 1950s to 1990s. New development areas on the edge of town complement the market on a smaller scale.
What matters for financing in Lehrte
The low purchase prices change the financing logic: many households can buy here with an instalment below their current rent. We work out the comparison between rent and purchase instalment for you with real figures.
With older existing houses, the renovation roadmap belongs in the calculation. A modernisation component financed along with the purchase usually costs less in the overall loan than a separate loan later. We automatically check suitable subsidy programmes.
